Ke Mosadi

Keabetswe Motsilanyane, famously known as K.B, has just released “Ke Mosadi”, which means “I am a woman” in SeTswana.

No wonder she can declare her womanhood: She has been part of the SA scene since she debuted on the now re running 90’s Etv Drama Backstage; has had a bit part in the Will Smith movie “Ali”; won awards and most importantly; KB has been a successful recording artist, stage performer and actress on the TV show “Rhythm City”.

K.B has made a name for herself through her albums, Beautiful Vibrations, Rock Lefatshe and My Rhythm. Following the fantastic reception of her debut, which spawned some hits, including “O a lla”, “Beautiful Vibrations” and “Life is good”, and went on to win her the prestigious SAMA for best R&B and two Metro FM awards for the best R&B and best newcomer, the sassy musician rocked the world with “Rock Lefatshe” which as well won her another two Metro FM awards for the best R&B and Best Female vocalist 2003.

The album also earned the young diva nominations for the best R&B and best video at the SAMA 2004 and a KORA nomination for the best female in Southern Africa.

Musically she has grown and experimented with various styles as can be heard in the way in which fusses a bit of afro pop, R&B, Latino and house. In a cutthroat industry she has managed to stay on top of her game and play by her own rules.
